Legoland Malaysia theme park has opened in Nusajaya,
Johor on September 15, 2012. The official opening is made by Sulltan Ibrahim
Ismail, Sultan Johor on September 22, 2012. This is the 6th such
park to open in the world. Previous parks are situated in Billund, Denmark
(1968), Windsor, England (1996), California, USA (1999), Germany (2002),
Florida, USA (2005).

Legoland is built with over 40
interactive rides, shows and attractions; one of the famous attractions is the
Mainland. Approximately over 30 million lego bricks are used in the building of
these monuments including Petronas Twin Towers, The Merlion Statue, Taj Mahal
and many more.

Other attractions at the park include
Lego city, Land of Adventure, Imagination, Lego Kingdom and Lego Technic. Moreover,
the highest tower in the theme park is the Observation tower, about 60 meters
from the ground. This is also the third Legoland observation tower in the world
after Denmark and Germany.

Legoland Malaysia aims to build the
World’s longest LEGO snake to make its first in this country. The snake will be
built over 9 days and estimated to e more than 300 metres long and needs about one
million lego bricks.

The SNAKE model builder, Stefan
Bentivoglio informed that he spent 2 weeks designing the lego snake and taking
50 hours to build the snake in advance.

Basically, there are total 7 lands at
Legoland all together; each land has a café or a restaurant. Only Halal-certificate
foods are served at the Market Restaurant of Legoland Malaysia. This includes
local and foreign delicacies.

This Legoland park is strategically placed at the heart of Iskandar region with easy access from anywhere in Johor. Thus, it provids good accomodation which there are a lot of resorts and hotels located nerby the theme park.
